Most of our clients pay our fees by check, a good share pay by debit/credit card, some with cash and some with a Paypal account. If doing on line information about card or Paypal needs to be availble. And, with a decent down payment and carrying charges, we do take monthly payments over a 6 month span. Has to be okayed by the Chairman of the board of directors (my wife) (good luck).
If you were not a client last year please bring your return from your 2021 tax return filing. If none available set up an account with IRS on IRS.gov to get information about your return. Iowa residents need to look in their bank statements to find the Iowa refund if you itemized federal last year. Chances are you did not itemize federal.
When you get to the office don't expect me to come jumping for joy to see you. Rest assured I want to but my feet can't take it anymore! So just wave at me and have a seat and maybe my wife/receptionist will offer some coffee & conversation. If you mention ANYTHING about the Bible hang on to your seat!
If we can not get your return done by the next appointment, you (both of you, if filing a joint return) will need to return for signing and paying fees. Does not happen often but be prepared!
